Littlest Pet Shop LPSO Virtual Pets - DOG 1 Buy Now

I gave my girls Pet Shop VIPs last year for Christmas. The VIPs created a virtual counterpart of the stuffed pets they received. We also received one year of online access for each pet. This year, they requested and received the new Littlest Pet Shop LPSOs. I purchased 2 pets and attempted to set up their online access today. I noticed the LPSO pet uses a different web site than the VIP pets. Well, turns out the LPSO pet is only good for a 30-day trial of online access. If you want another 30 days, it'll cost nearly $7. And an entire year, (which you get automatically with webkinz), is FIFTY-SEVEN DOLLARS!!! I thought I was seeing things. My immediate reaction was to pack both dolls back up and exchange them for Webkinz. My daughters already received four Webkinz for Christmas and they really liked their LPSOs and wanted to keep them. My older daughter asked if she could use some of her Christmas money to pay for a subscription. I told her to try the trial first and see if it's worth the $57. So far, they appear to enjoy the online play, but I'm pretty peeved that the toy was so misleading. Nowhere on the box does it indicate that the online play is trial only, unless you pay additional money. Also, you do not get an online counterpart of the pet you purchase. Once enrolled, you create a totally new pet. That makes me wonder why they're even selling the stuffed versions at all. Just more money down the drain, unless you specifically bought it for the stuffed animal only. Given that these things are marketed as "online", it seems very misleading. One last gripe, trying to find and connect to the same servers is an exercise in futility. My girls tried to find each other in their virtual worlds. However, all of the servers have "0" for the number of online players and my girls get different lists of servers when they log on at the same time using different computers. I bought this doll house for my little sister because she wanted one for Christmas. I knew I was not going to pay $200 for a large and fancy Barbie doll house so I went looking for a cheaper alternative. My husband actually found this for me online and I thought it was great! The price was better then I expected for a brand-new doll house and all the accessories. It came in and my little sister loved it. It is brightly colored and it brings a lot of decorating items. It is a great size for playing and also for putting it away. It is a little flimsy, the doors seems to pop off easily but they can quickly be put back in place, and there are a lot of tiny little pieces (such as Barbie sized cups, food, furniture, etc) but as long as the child is old enough to understand that they should NEVER put them in their mouth they should be fine. It is quite long so when rearranging you have to be careful not to topple the whole thing over. The rooms in the doll house are so adorable! There is a bathroom section, kitchen section, and living space section and it is just too pretty. The only thing she can do is read her diary (which is not appropriate for young girls as there are boyfriend related themes), dress her and play very childish, easy games like "Find the differences in the pictures" and "Find the hidden objects".

This is a great toy. It is well designed and well made. The carriage rolls well. My girls clip leashes on each of theirs and pull them around the house. Then, when they grab and pull the handle up, their dolls can fly all over the house at the push of a button. The dolls feet dangle and they stay securely in their seats thanks to seat belts. My girls love roller coasters and fly the dolls around sometimes pretending they are on a ride. The doors have popped off once or twice from the carriage but they go right back on. Santa brought this for my animal-loving daughter last year and her frustration with the toy lead to its collecting dust. It falls apart if you so much as bump it and she enjoys moving toys from room to room. I used Superglue to hold it together, which worked reasonably well. The roof doesn't stay on at all. Since she needs to remove it for play, that's a problem, since without the roof, the structure is very weak (Superglue & all).

It's about what you'd expect for the money. I would recommend searching for a one-piece set with no assembly or a sturdier one, maybe made of wood.

I know Breyer is a classic name so I took a chance that the toy would be a better quality than it is. My 7 year old saved her allowance to buy this doll. This took a long time. On the first day, we went through several diapers since the doll needs to be fed constantly. On the second day, her lips rubbed off and weird dirty patches appeared on her skin that won't wash off. The hair comes out in clumps when you brush it and you can see the holes on her head. As with my other Barbie toy review, this was opened on Christmas Day by my 8 year old daughter, who had been asking for it for ages. The anticipation was immense, which doesn't really help...
She attempted to extricate the doll from its wiring and elasticated bits of plastic on her own. This took a while. Then she handed it to me, wondering what to do with the tiara. Oh. 'It's meant to be attached to that pink stick coming out of her head,' I told her. 'Did you break it off by accident?' 'I think I might have,' she said a little sadly. This tiara is meant to slide up and down to be either a tiara or mask. You're not supposed to take it off. We pushed the stick into her head and decided to forget about the 'crown and mask' as it was clearly unmendable. Seconds later, my 6 year old had a go and broke the sword. All in the space of an hour in its life with us.
The cloak works! You take it off manually and place it around the doll's shoulders, then take it off and wind it round her waist.

Looking inside, it appears the problem is with the motor. Total defective design. The head is as big as the body, and moves. It shouldn't be supprising th anybody that this big melon head looking doll will attact the attention of a child who *will* prevent the head from moving from time to time, but the motor (at least in this case) couldn't tollerate that, and started burning up. To drive the point home, I note the batteries are also very hot.
