I have been eyeing Baby Stella for months now, in fact, I almost purchased her for my daughter when she turned one in September. However, at the time, my daughter wasn't showing much interest in pretend play so I tucked the idea of Baby Stella away for Christmas. When she arrived, she was neatly packed in a little box but we were able to feel her softness without having to remove her. This was exciting because I was able to check her out without having to wait until after Christmas. When my daughter finally opened her up, she seemed very interested in her from the get go. Mind you, my daughter is 15 months old and very new to the baby doll world. None the less, she knows just who Baby Stella is and she totes her around with her for long periods of time. She even says "bay-buh" when she sees her! Overall, Baby Stella is VERY well made, soft and cuddly, and contrary to what another review has said, the beige version of this doll is NOT darker in person than what you see online.
