My Favorite Barbie: The Original Teenage Fashion Model Barbie Doll Decide Now

When I unwrapped my Christmas present and found the 50th anniversary Barbie doll, I was thrilled. I opened the box and for a few moments, was in a state of bliss. But then I noticed a few drawbacks.
First, Her swimsuit is glued to her chest. Huh?! Well, there goes the hope of her modeling the Solo in the SPotlight dress. Oh, well. I try to put the gloves on. Nope, that won't work either! They are too small to be worn by any of my dolls. Hmm. Okay, well, at least she can wear the necklace. I pick it up, and what do I find... no strap. No elastic. No little snap-thing. No stretching, no spaces, no way to make her wear it. It's a totally useless ring of beads.
I put the black dress on my Fashionista Girly doll, and it looks fabulous. She suits it perfectly, especially when you add the pink scarf and microphone.
I like the doll, though. She is pretty, but her forehead is too low to be exact. Her hair isn't quite the right color, and her makeup isn't perfect, but she is still cute. She is heavier and sturdier than most modern dolls. Her microphone is great- metal and adjustable in height. I love the holes in her feet that make displaying her easy. I wish all collector dolls were that way, instead of having a thick plastic pole to support them, which shows badly and doesn't even hold them up right.

Hasbro Baby Alive Food Accessory Pack Right now

Overall I really love this product. I even had a Baby Alive doll myself when they first came out in the seventies. They are much nicer now. The only reason I would not give this item great ratings accross the board is because buying the food can get really expensive. The doll is really fun to play with so kids like to feed it several times a day. That can get really pricey. I know some people use food coloring and water as a substitute but that does not have the baby food consistency that the kids love. The best recipe I have found so far uses a health food item. Save Barbie Collector Harley Davidson Doll

I have to admit, Barbie is not my primary doll for collecting. In fact, we bought this doll for my daughter's collection. But when we actually took her out of the box, I have to confess I was smitten--absolutely smitten--with this doll's face.

Her makeup is really perfect for this look. She's got smokey eyes, but very neutral lips (check out my real-life photos of this doll!). Her hair is heavily gelled in the front, and came attached to her "leather" bustier (which really does lace up in the back).

The outfit is pretty cool, without looking trashy. She's wearing jeans under her pink "leather" chaps. And her bustier is pretty over-the-top, and she does have an angel tattoo on her back (just be aware of this if you're buying her for a younger collector). She has over-sized gunmetal gray hoop earrings that really pull together her look, and of course, black motorcycle boots and an airbrushed helmet.

My one complaint with this doll is her hair. I wish Mattel would fix its packaging on the collector dolls. More often than not, when you debox a doll, the hair just looks like a rat's nest in the back. However, in this case, Barbie rides a motorcycle. Heck, everyone who has ever ridden on a motorcycle knows your hair gets messed up. So that's why I still can rate this doll five stars. I love the Moxie Girlz line of dolls. They are so pretty and such a far leap from the previous Bratz dolls. Sasha has got to be by far my favorite of them all so far. She's pretty and looks like a real girl by not having such blatantly over-the-top proportions. The only problem wiht mine so far is that her joints are a little loose and one of her arms kinda swings back and forth, but overall she's still my favorite Moxie Girl. I am not usually on to write reviews but I thought since I was so disappointed in these dolls. My 6 year old daughter saw this Moxie Girlz Best Friend set and put it on her Christmas list. It was one of the things she wanted the most from her list and she was excited to share the best friend bracelet (that comes with the dolls) with her BFF at school. Well Christmas morning came and we opened them up. The faces of the dolls are made with cheap hard plastic. Their hair is course and feels very cheap as well. And it's actually sewn onto their clothes. The thing that really disappointed me was that the Blonde doll isn't even wearing pants......they are jean/leggings that are sewn together but only go up to the doll's thigh and hide under her skirt and make it look like jeans. The seams weren't even sewn so they immediately started to fray and it's almost like they aren't meant to me take off and redressed. Once you undress them, the clothes and leggings are really hard to get back on the dolls. Also the shirts and skirt of the dolls are attached together. Why? And poorly sewn too. To make matters worse the best friends bracelet my daughter was so excited, get was made out of cheap plastic. Horrible quality. My 10 year old got a Liv doll for Christmas and the quality of those dolls were great. We will be returning these cheap poor quality dolls ASAP for a Liv Doll. My daughter just received this pool for her 5th birthday. She had seen it in the store several times and loved the fact that it uses "real water!"
