Gorgeous doll, pretty face and a very pretty, (very) sparkly dress. The dress is removable, the sleeves are made of plastic and light up when the doll talks or when the music plays. Make sure you pull the plastic tag out of the doll's back, she then begins to say two different phrases and plays a Disney tune whenever you press on the blue bird that's on her hand (also removable). I didn't think to remove the tag at first and was surprised that Snow White was saying only one phrase over and over again. The set also includes a rabbit and a chipmunk. We got this doll for under [...], so the value is great for a doll that has accessories and pees. I DO not buy the disposable diapers or the doll juice. That's something that I find silly, because my daughter gets a kick out of the pee that comes out from just water, and we buy cloth doll diapers on Etsy [...] that can just be thrown into the dryer. I bought my daughter a doctor coat and a doctor kit for Christmas, so this doll goes to the pediatrician a lot! :) If buyer's read the descriptions carefully, they will not be disappointed. This doll only comes with 1 diaper, so plan on cloth or plan on buying the refill kits. The manufacturer planned on BANKING on the parents needing more diapers and more doll juice, but you don't have to feed into it. Get cloth and go with water-pee. The stethoscope does not have a battery in it, nor does the doll, so do not plan to hear a heartbeat. However, if you plan to get a supplemental medical kit at some point, get one with a steth that has a heart beat sound. The other accessories in this kit are fantastic. The medicine in the spoon disappears, the aspirator looks like it's taking away mucus, and the thermometer says this baby has a fever. If you run out of bandaids, just use kid ones. Residue can be rubbed off with a wet cloth. Liv Fashion Doll - Sophie Right now

So, I bought one of these dolls for a friend and started modifying it. Along the way, I thought her doll was cute, especially once I switched out her very vibrant eyes for more modest ones. Her doll was flexible and durable, and the wig shed like crazy. Overall, she was a good buy.

Then, I bought my own doll. Her eyes were less shocking, which was good, and her wigs didn't shed. However, the tights were ill-fitting, and the worst part. . . Her hands didn't move, at all. She isn't very flexible, and I'm afraid I might break her. I bought this particular doll because her skin tone is inconsistent through out her body, and I thought it looked kind of cool. So, I'm not too disappointed, but it's just kind of strange.

I completely understand the very mixed reviews, now (at least when it comes to the quality). I learned that the product quality is of variable consistency. My daughter (just turned one) got this for Christmas and she has been carrying it everywhere. It's much bigger than I thought it would be. Seams all look well constructed, so I think this doll will last a long time, even with being dragged all over the house under the arm of a toddler. I also loved that the strawberry at the top of the hat actually smells like a strawberry! I grew up with Strawberry Shortcake, and I think it's terrific that toys like this are making a come-back. My 3 and 5 year olds do enjoy playing with this but it does have some annoyances. The top part, where Strawberry Shortcake is supposed to sit and have the bird ride, constantly keeps falling off. Also, its hard to get the Strawberry Shortcake figure to actually sit in there. The door to the cottage also keeps falling off, so I constantly have to put it back on. The pieces are super small and easy to lose. And as for Strawberry Shortcake herself, I cannot believe how hard it is to get her hat on and have it stay on. That is another piece that keeps falling off. I wish they could have just made the hat permanently attached to the head because its just frustrating for my kids to always be fussing with the hat.

Buying Barbie and The Three Musketeers Viveca Doll

My daughter had asked for "the Barbie Sword Movie" for Christmas, and also received this Barbie to go along with it. Within 10 minutes of removing the Barbie from the box, the sword was broken, because while in the Barbie's hand, the sword was made to hit another Barbie. NO MORE SWORD, and TONS of tears! The next day my daughter returned to playing with the Barbie (for that day it was just too devastating to go near) and having lots of fun with it (the clothes offer lots of different arrangements for different outfits) but the whole premise of her wanting this Barbie was The 3 Musketeers- I can't believe Mattel would make such a cheap sword if this is the defining factor of this line of Barbies. My child does not play rough. It really is no different than those novelty drink stirrers. Also, I wish Mattel would quit making Barbies where you can't remove their clothes- in this one, the mask/crown is not removable, and must always stay on the Barbie's head- which prevents hairstyling. Overall my daughter loves this Barbie, but I was shocked by the crappy quality of the accessories.

Without the sword incident, I think this would have been her favorite Barbie. But tears at a Christmas celebration is sad for everyone involved- the child, the giver, the parents.
