Don't know what the problem was with the other reviewers, my daughter is 4 and LOVES this toy. Yes, you have to put the bone or the leash in the dog's mouth to turn it on. Yes, Barbie has to be positioned correctly on a smooth floor to be pulled. But my daughter has had NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER setting any of that up. And any toy that involves motion is not going to work well on a shag carpet, you always need a smooth surface. As far as the tree falling apart, the top does come off easy but is no big deal to put back on and gravity keeps it in place more than adequately if you have the toy sitting on a table or floor. It is really cute how the dog pulls the tree top around to give the little dogs a ride. I was prepared to hate this doll, for it to be either non-functional or to break within a day or so. Boy was I wrong! IMHO the design and functionality of this doll are wonderful! While it's true that there's a bit of a learning curve to working the doll, it really wasn't too bad and the skirt/wings do seem to be fairly sturdy. I do agree with the other reviewer who said that some kids don't like plastic parts sticking out of the doll's back; I'm not sure my daughter is too crazy about them. I bought this doll for each of my two daughter for an early Christmas present. They have had so much fun playing with her. She is well made, and worked out of the box. The Girly doll is so pretty! I love her. At wal mart, I got her for $8. She really wasn't my first choice; I wanted to get the Cutie, Sassy, or Glam fashionista first, but all they had at the time was Girly, Artsy or Wild. There was only one or two of each. Girly doll is dressed in a sparkly pink dress, accented with ruffles, ribbons and a big bow. I particularly like it because it gives her a fuller, bustier figure. I've never been a fan of the stick-thin, no-hip no-shape models. Her hair is not as poufy as in the picture, but I think it's prettier the way it is. She comes with a pretty pink bracelet, pink purse with a bow, and silver butterfly necklace.I love her ballerina super heels, accented with (what else?) bows. Her body, fully poseable, is sooo much fun to play with. Although, I really don't think she would stand much rough play. Not for smaller girls. No breaks in mine yet, but they don't seem sturdy enough to withstand much jerking or beating. Still, it's an extremely fun toy and leaves a lot of room for imagination. Santa got this toy for my daughter it was the ONLY thing she wanted this year!! When she opened it she was sooo delighted but her delight was quick to dissipate my husband put it together for her and it is constantly falling apart. The bubbles fall off of the tub every time she tires to put the doll in it and the sheets on the bed do the same. The turrets fall off constantly. It will not stand upright on carpet so she can only play with it in one spot in her room. I would not waste my money on this toy again I wish I would have known it was such garbage before "Santa" got it for her! Does she love it? yes. Easy to assemble? yes. Does it really roll? Well, uh, yes and no. My complaint is that it rolls as long as you don't have carpet/ area rug to push it on. It's a low- rider. And the side panel that opens out will not completely shut (opposite the 'tent' pop-out), therefore, it comes apart while the child drags it across the floor. So, I had to teach her to push it while holding that panel closed- sort of hard for a 5 year-old to do consistantly. I had Barbie and her accessories as a child and my complaint on the whole to Mattel would be- Why can't you make'em like you did 30 years ago?
